P864 Smart Edge Controller

Optergy P864, a Smart Edge Controller that operates building equipment autonomously and expands up to 8 IO modules totaling 144 hardware points. Connectivity is made easy via BACnet IP (PoE), MS/TP, MS/TP routing, and Modbus gateway. The P864 is truly versatile, and can also be managed by 3rd party software using its built-in REST API.

When coupled with Optergy’s software and more than 50 built-in applications, contractors have a complete standardized solution for smart controls, smart metering, utilities billing, after hours billing, automated reporting, live dashboards and foyer displays.

The P864 fits a lot of applications on its own, however when needed for applications like central plant or as a small building controller, the P864 can be expanded to a total of 144 input and output data points. The 864e (e is for expansion) adds another 8 universal inputs for sensors or pulse meters, 6 relay outputs and 4 analog outputs to control motors and devices. Fully expanded 1 P864 can have up to 7 connected 864e to make one very powerful BACnet controller. All with no special licensing needed.

P864-Air Flow Sensor

The Optergy P864-AFS is an improved high-performance differential pressure sensor. Traditionally one of the issues with airflow sensors is the ability to maintain accurate airflow at lower flow rates.  The Optergy P864-AFS sensor provides industry leading accuracy.

The Optergy P864-AFS is a more accurate airflow sensor with integrated temperature compensation to measure the air flow in VAV applications.  This means VAVs will perform more effectively and provide the following benefits to the end user.

Polarity-free connections on the Optergy P864-AFS means reduced installation related errors and call-backs for system integrators or installers. 

The Optergy P864-AFS is a field replaceable unit.  This means that if the sensor is damaged during installation, the entire controller does not need to be replaced.  Simply remove the damaged P864-AFS module from the main P864 controller and replace it.  This saves both time and money while reducing waste.
