Holmesglen - HVAC Centre of Excellence

Designed to be a learning centre for mechanical apprentices, the Holmesglen – HVAC Centre of Excellence provides industry leading education and allows apprentices to familiarise themselves with equipment that they would typically find in modern HVAC systems. As technology in the HVAC industry has improved over the years, this equips new workers with the skills and knowledge to be able to flourish and succeed.

We were tasked with monitoring and controlling the equipment on site which included air handling units, VAV boxes, chillers, boilers, pumps, energy recovery ventilation units, heat exchangers and chilled beams.

Students will learn how the system is controlled and monitored through the BMS front end. Through Optergy Proton, users (teachers and students) will also have access to interactive and informative displays that will give illustrations and information of the system that will greatly assist in learning.
