Optergy’s world-first Smart Edge Controller for buildings, P864 was recognised as the 2018 Best Building Plant Controller of the Year at the ControlTrends Awards (CTA), held at the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta on January 13th, 2019.
It was one of two accolades for Optergy: Optergy President Steven Guzelimian was also honoured with the Passion, Integrity and Dedication Award for the HVACR industry.
The ControlTrends Awards (CTA), recognize the latest innovations and achievements that make the HVAC, Controls, and Building Automation industries successful.
“Optergy is honored to have our latest Smart Edge Controller, P864, be named Best Building Plant Controller of the Year,” said Steven Guzelimian, Optergy President. “Building Owners and Facility Managers need a better way to add smart monitoring and control to any building. We see this recognition as further evidence of Optergy’s commitment to developing the most effective smart building controls and software platforms that empowers building owners and managers to establish meaningful data and ultimately drive revenue.”
The P864 development process involved working closely with HVACR industry members who deal with controls on a daily basis. This process allowed the team to uncover so many insights into how real people use building controls on a daily basis. The idea was to develop a smart building control that featured all the essential needs that current controls were lacking. “The last 12 months have proved a seminal period for the team and developers of the P864, and we are so proud of the finished product,” added Marc Abdelahad, Optergy Managing Director.
It’s the third year in a row which Optergy has received a nod from the CTA judging panel, with Optergy small building controller Proton being named 2016 Light Commercial System of the Year and consecutively receiving the 2017 Innovative Product of the Year title.
